AI video production

Director-led projects. A production plan built around the brief.

Amos Le Blanc offers AI-assisted direction for films, music videos and commercial projects. The approach begins with story, performance and visual language, then considers where generated material, live action, animation or conventional post-production can serve the film.

This is a director's service page. The people, tools and production resources needed for a project are defined by its scope, rather than a promise that one person can replace every production department.

From treatment to delivery

01 · Treatment. Define the concept, audience, visual references, sequence structure and intended release formats. Agree on the details that must remain accurate across the film.

02 · Proof of approach. Plan a short test of the most demanding shots. Review continuity, motion and the edit before selecting the production method. Keep generated tests distinct from finished client work.

03 · Production and review. Assign responsibilities for direction, photography, generation, editing, visual effects and sound as needed. Set review stages and a process for handling changes to the brief.

04 · Finishing. Review the assembled film for image consistency, sound, typography and technical delivery. Confirm the required masters, cutdowns, captions and platform versions.

What changes the budget and schedule?

Shot count, length, required product accuracy, character continuity, live-action needs, revision rounds and finishing all affect the plan. Generation attempts that do not work still require time to review and replace. Estimates should account for that iteration rather than promise a fixed percentage saving or a universal turnaround.

Before production, establish how supplied images, likenesses, voices, music and other materials may be used. Agree on approvals and delivery responsibilities with the relevant collaborators. Using AI does not by itself remove the need for production planning or review.

Selected documented credits

Thugli: Run This. Amos Le Blanc and Ohji Inoue shared Director of the Year at the 2014 MuchMusic Video Awards. The film also received First Prize in Music Video North America at the 2015 Young Director Award. Watch the film. MMVA winner record. Young Director Award record.

Young Empires: The Gates. Promonews credits Le Blanc as director and Christopher Lew as cinematographer. Its 2015 coverage discusses their approach to the film's locations and visual storytelling. Read the project coverage.

The One Club also named Le Blanc a Young Guns 17 winner in 2019. These earlier film credits and awards establish his directing background. They are not evidence that those films used generative AI, or that a new AI workflow will produce a particular saving.

Choosing an AI video production company

Compare finished sequences and accurately credited roles. Ask who is responsible for each deliverable, what the test will demonstrate and which aspects of the film still need conventional production. Use the AI director selection guide to structure the conversation.

For a project enquiry, send the concept, audience, references, formats, target dates, budget range and any supplied assets. These are the inputs for a scoped discussion, not an automatic quote.
