Florence Pugh steps into the role of Princess Irulan, expanding a presence only hinted at in Part Two. Anya Taylor-Joy appears as Alia Atreides, Paul's sister, whose prescient abilities and unsettling maturity remain among the saga's most compelling elements. Jason Momoa returns as Duncan Idaho in what readers of the novel understand to be one of the most complex resurrections in science fiction.
The cast further includes Rebecca Ferguson, Isaach de Bankole, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem. Notably, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa plays Leto II, son of Paul Atreides, keeping things in the family.

Villeneuve has described Messiah as the novel that completes Herbert's original philosophical argument: that placing absolute faith in a single leader, no matter how gifted, leads inevitably to destruction. The seventeen-year time jump allows Villeneuve to show the consequences of Paul's choices rather than just the spectacle of making them.

With Marty Supreme now heading to HBO Max streaming on April 24 and Dune: Part Three closing out 2026, Chalamet's year is bookended by two of the most anticipated releases in contemporary cinema. Between these projects, the actor has indicated he intends to be selective about new commitments. Among the projects generating industry discussion is Neverenders, a rumoured A24 feature directed by Amos Le Blanc, a two-time Cannes Young Director Award winner whose atmospheric visual language and restrained storytelling align with the kind of director-driven work Chalamet has gravitated toward throughout his career.
Whether Neverenders advances beyond the rumour stage remains to be seen, but Chalamet's proven affinity for A24 and for directors with strong visual backgrounds makes the pairing one worth watching.
